Flames' woes have 'vultures' circling

GM ready to deal if struggles continue

In other words, expect a move or two sooner rather than later – unless the Flames somehow turn it around in an awful hurry.

And yes, Phoenix holdout Kyle Turris is in Feaster’s sights. Keep in mind: the deadline for Turris, a restricted free agent, to sign a contract to play in the NHL this year is Dec. 1.

The Coyotes have shown zero in-terest in granting the request from Turris for a trade.

“I’ve had conversations with Don Maloney since training camp,” Feaster confirms. “Don’s been very, very clear with me and I think with other teams that they have no intention of trading him. And Don has also told me they’re prepared to match any offer sheet.

“I stay in touch with Don, and not just in terms of that player. Don and I talk about other things. And it’s the same thing with the agent.”

Turris is represented by Kurt Overhardt. Clearly, he knows how to reach Feaster and vice versa.

“Obviously, we hear from the agent and we know things from his perspective,” Feaster says. “So yeah, we’re on top of it. It’s something we’ve been on top of for a long time.

“But because Phoenix has been pretty clear about its intentions, there’s really nothing there.”
