Flyers Trade Timonen to the Dallas Stars

The Philadelphia Flyers dealt defenceman Jussi Timonen to the Dallas Stars on Monday for a conditional draft pick in 2009.

Timonen had seven assists in 14 games with the Flyers’ American Hockey League affiliate Philadelphia Phantoms this season.

The 24-year-old had four assists and six penalty minutes in 14 games for Flyers last season.

Timonen was chosen by the Flyers in the fifth round of the 2001 draft.

i wish it was the other 1 kimmo is the same player as pitkanen except pitkanen was getting better numbers and that was considered uneracheiving

Right… Pitkanen WAS getting better numbers.  He stopped playing defense 2 years ago.  He has potential to be something, but it won't be anything involving good Defense.

Kimmo is playing frigging great this year.  And he's still getting use to the new team and everything.
