Remaining Top Unrestricted Free agents

With the NHL season set to open this weekend (about time) there are still several players who are Unrestricted Free agents that are out there who could help many teams out. Players such as Arnott and Huselius could still provide a veteran presence to any team.

    I think that the Canucks should take a shot at Gomez. He could fill in until Kesler is back.

      Maybe. Honestly, I think they’d be better off going with Arnott. I know he’s older, but he’s actually been a lot more productive than Gomez over the course of the last two years and he was a good role player for the Blues last year.

      Arnott is not a 2nd line centre at this stage in his career, but could be a decent bandaid move. But, for the right price Gomez could fill in temporarily just as well I guess.

      trademan i think gomez is done and the canucks won’t waste money on that stiff! they’ll trade luongo and get a way better player(s) than gomez in the trade

        The Canucks are pushed right up against the cap. I honestly doubt that Luongo will be traded before the deadline. I agree that Arnott would be a better fir I just do not think that he will come for the same price.

    The Leafs need some speed and a sturdy d-man. They should target Jason Blake and Jeff Finger.
