maybe you should read carefully. Also, you should read my previous posts. I’m a Habs fan, born and raised. I love them to bits. I speak french, and born in Quebec. Maybe you should think a little. I responded to the guy cause I was going to respond that the jokes were all Leafs jokes at one point. Seriously, come on, you’ve seen me reply on many Habs threads, and even in maple leaf threads. Just because I’m not “fancy” like you and put a hab in my nickname, doesn’t mean I’m not a Habs fan. I rarely miss a game. And BTW, where does it say I’m going to respond to your joke. If I wanted to respond to your joke, I would of, not to the comment made by mod. Merci beaucoup, et bonne soiree a toi. Amuse toi bien, a cause ca va etre une bonne saison.

So he went 15 games without scoring a goal, he still finished the season with 91 points and was 14th in the league in scoring!
If you read my comment more carefully, you'll see that I'm not saying that Jokinen is in the same league as SUPERSTARS Crosby and Thornton (Jagr also has gone through long stretches without being productive -- Washington).
With very few exceptions, every player goes through scoring droughts (Sundin didn't score a goal in his last 20 or so games last year, I believe, and I think he's a pretty good hockey player) I said Jokinen is as close to being a STAR as you can get. There are only a handful of bonafide superstars in this league when the criteria are consistency AND productivity. Jokinen does not fit this category and I didn't suggest he did, but neither does Koivu, yet our captain plays on a team that is arguably better than Florida and Jokinen has outscored him and others such as Spezza, Alfredson, Datsyuk, Malkin, Vanek, all pretty good hockey players in their own right, all playing on much better teams.
The point I was making was that Jokinen would be a welcomed addition on the Habs and would make the team much better with him on it. To say otherwise is ignoring the obvious - Jokinen is a very good player I would love to have in Montreal because he would make a huge difference to the makeup of the team, taking some pressure off the shoulders of Koivu.

Ok, yeah, those are season numbers, what that doesn't show you is his goal droughts he goes through every year. He went a 15 game stretch with out scoring a goal last year and snapped it against Montreal by scoring a hat trick. What I'm talking about is in order to be the supposed "perfect model for consistentsy", as you have described Jokinen, you must not go through strectches of futility like Jokinen does. The perfect model for consistentsy is Crosby or Jagr or Thornton, etc. The thing is, Jokinen, every year, goes through a few stretches of futility, much like Ryder. Both can score any given night but they don't. They always go through hot stretches and cold stretches.
