Gerber back to Carolina?
The Ottawa Sun is reporting that the Carolina Hurricanes may have some interest in Ottawa Senators castoff goalie Martin Gerber.
It is noted that Gerber has been placed on recall waivers which means that if a team picks him up Ottawa will have to pay half of his remaining contact (which expires at the end of this year.)
It is reported that “A return to Carolina could make sense as Gerber served as Cam Ward’s backup on the Hurricanes’ run to a Stanley Cup victory in 2006.”
