Getzlaf Receives Eight Year Extension Worth $66 Million
It’s finally official folks, Ryan Getzlaf will remain an Anaheim Duck until the 2020-2021 season. (We should have flying cars by then.)
The captain signed a maximum contract extension as allowed under the new Collective Bargaining Agreement. Because the Ducks were the team who drafted Getzy, he was allowed a maximum eight year deal, instead of seven offered by another team.
