GM Meets With Coach Sullivan, Fate Still Undetermined

Soon-to-be Boston Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli met with Coach Mike Sullivan in order to determine whether or not the coach would return next year. After a lengthy meeting, Chiarelli is still undecided, and has set a timetable of about 10 days before he makes his final decision.

Chiarelli has ensured the Bruins will be set on next year’s coach by the NHL Draft.

Sullivan led the Bruins to 104 pts, good enough for second in the Eastern Conference, in the 2003-04 season, which was his rookie season as a head coach. This year, however, the Bruins faltered under his command, finishing last in the Northeast Division.

Do not be surprised to see a coaching change in Boston by next week.
