Goalie Andersen could be trade bait for Ducks
Frederik Andersen could be the everyday starting goalie for a number of NHL teams. He was that for the Ducks last season and he could still become the one they lean on.
But when it comes to the upcoming trade deadline, Andersen is also one of their most attractive pieces to dangle if they want to seriously look in that direction with the mild-mannered netminder.
Andersen is wrapping up a two-year contract that’s paying him $1.3 million this season. It has been a remarkably affordable deal for the Ducks but that’s going to change as his next contract will easily be worth more.
