Gretzky Re-Signs For Another Five

The Phoenix Coyotes announced today that Wayne Gretzky has re-signed a five year contract as head coach. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.Gretzky, best known for his on-ice magic, tried his hand at coaching for the first time during the 2005-2006 season. He posted a coaching record of 36-36-5, and missed 5 games for personal reasons. Along with the re-signing of CuJo earlier this week, the Coyotes have locked up two fan favorites for at least next season.

    I like this move. I think Gretzky did a fine job, considering he was a first year head coach of a mediocure team, on top of all the personal issues he had to deal with. With all that, He led them to a .500 record. Good job on these last two moves Phoenix.
