Habs rant is all about Gainey doing his job. Again our Gm has sneeked out a trade no one had any speculation of, I’m talking about Mike Johnson heading to yea you guessed it Montreal. Althought this didnt come without a salary dump, which meant the sacrifice of Zednik he’s headin back where he came from, Washington! Now why don’t you rant on that!

Honestly man if the Habs want Gagne they will have to give up probably Aebischer if Philly wants him since Esche and Nittymaki are shaky but Anterro will turn into a great goalie in a few years so i doubt it meaning we will have to give them probably Souray or Aebischer depending on if they want a goalie or not, Ribeiro or Zednik a top prospect like Latendresse, Chipchura or Segei Kostitsyn and probably a 2nd or 3rd round pick.

While magnifikko did mention some of the holes in your post, I think your opinion represents a number of Habs fans. Yes, we wanted to see some change as a lot of us felt that one or two aquisition could shore up our team.

But let Gainey do his thing. While he admitted that he had been pursuing two different players who opted to go elsewhere (speculated to be Elias and Shanahan), there are still players whom he is in discussion with.

Also, a lot of teams have put themselves up against the cap space without even a full team i.e. New Jersey. Look for some trades, at which point the cap space will work in out advantage.

ok....

1st off...gagne doesnt want to leave Philly, he already stated that of the Habs make an offer philly would equallize it.

2nd....bulis is a free agent, u cannot trade him to Philly...

3rd...ur trade is stupid...no one wants Zednik, and why would they want aebisher?? they got nitimaky(sorry spelling)

4th..Gainey already expressed his idea of leaving 1 rooster spot to a rookie.

5th...U cannot sign someone just for the heck of it..if ur player isnt there then just wait to find another one that u want, not just some garbage.

Anyways...ur post is ur opinion...
