Habs/Sharks trade
According to the Fan 990 and Eklund’s hockeybuzz.com, the Habs and Sharks are in serious trade talks. Even though these arent very reliable sources, one has to wonder if a trade here would make sense. i have heard a couple different proposals.
A deal is rumored to take place and send Souray to the Sharks. It would most likely look something like this;
To SJS: Sheldon Souray, 4th rounder
To MTL: Matt Carle, Joe Pavelski. conditional pick
Theres another rumor that i’ll throw in as well. Though I’ll warn you; there are no sources behind this rumor. I’ve just seen it floating around on message boards and stuff.
To SJS: Markov, Abeisher, Kostitsyn, 2nd rounder
To MTL: Bernier, mid-round pick
sounds like its about .0001% of happening to me but I figured I’d throw it in to provide some speculation. This would then allow San Jose to trade Nabokov and get some playoff help.
Sorry if you’re sick of seeing all these Hab rumors, but I’m starting to get anxious as the trade deadline approaches.
