I would be absolutely stunned if Harding isn't traded by the deadline. He's the best trade chip that Minnesota has to get that replacement forward the so need. With Backstrom still signed (and unlikely to be moved) and the organization really high on Hackett, Harding isn't likely to get resigned, so naturally it would make sense to trade him.

Where though?

To Tampa for Malone? He isn't exactly the skilled top 6 forward but they could use his size I suppose. Is he valuable enough to get Malone? Probably, especially with that contract. Might not be the most desirable trade though. Maybe Purcell instead? Not top 6 this year but has the potential to be a nice fill in till someone gets back for Minny.

To Columbus for Prospal? Two expiring FA's, helps the need of the other team. Or maybe Brassard? I feel like Columbus will ask for more, especially since Brassard is heating up. But it might be worth it, could be a nice one - two punch in the future with Koivu.

To Edmonton for MPS? They would likely have to add but it could be managed I'm sure. They would get a long term winger and keep a center spot open for Granlund still.
