There's just no point. He could rip stitches and that eye doesn't look like its any where close to 100%. A needless risk. I get he wants to play but when its the future face of your franchise, I really think it shows extremely poor judgement.

While I agree with you, I don't think this move signals it that much.

It was only a cut. It wasn't life threatening and it didn't look like it did much damage outside of just putting a massive cut on a face (which is really shitty for the guy). If figure if they are playing him its because the stitches pose no future threat to his health.

I can understand why he is playing. Personally I would scratch him but how long would you keep him out? Do you wait until the stitches are out; that can take weeks, do you bench him for that long? If not, then there is no real reason why Hall cannot play tonight.

I mean they should use the injury as an excuse to keep Hall out for the next week or more since they are not going to make the playoffs anyway. Improve that pick.

How bad is the Oilers management?

Tell me why the hell Taylor Hall is playing tonight. I'm all for players being tough and playing through injuries, but come on. A nothing game for the Oil and they put a guy in that just got 30 stitches in his head on Tuesday and was very close to losing an eye. This is a brain dead move by the organization.

oh right my bad, if it is the first overall then maybe I could see some of those trades working out, probably not going to happen for the 2nd overall though, I cannot see Grigorenko being worth Myers and Murray/Dumba.

I agree that it was a mistake to have MPS in the NHL this early.

I think that Phoenix with there defensive prospect depth (Gormley, Rundblad, Murphy, OEL) plus Yandle, Schlemko who are under 25, should deal some one for forward depth. I doubt they would get a much better offer than Gagner and MPS for Gormley.

I would say Schenn's value is far superior to Kadri…So it would be Toronto, and most likely, a lottery pick.

We were talking about trading the Oilers 2012 1st rounder if it was 1st or 2nd (Yakupov or Grigorenko) + for one of those young d men and a top 10 pick in 2012.

Wasn't talking about Hemsky at all. I really doubt Hemsky gets the Oilers much at all. Maybe a late first.
