Well, as a leaf fan, i’d be looking for good news. And man, i can not get enough of that desjardins incident. roenick goes to chwapshot sundin and he ended up hitting his own player… gotta love it.. although the score was not loved

I can’t remember a previous year with as many signifigant injuries. And so many players requiring season-ending surgery. A lot of shoulder and hip injuries htis year. Of course a lot of the old ACL/MCL injuries. But so many teams have had huge injuries. A team is now lucky to have 4 or 5 guys play in all 82 games. I know for the parst the injuries are fluke but I think a lot of them have to do with equipment improvements. Like elbow pads. Back in the day they were just pads. Now they are hard and can be used as weapons. Sure they protect more but they cause a lot of injuries too. Concussions and what not. Same goes with shoulder pads. Then with these new composite sticks shots are so much harder. That’s the reason for so many foot injuries. You can’t really correct it though. players will have to play through it.
