Is Tellqvist finally going to be traded?

The Tennessean reported that there were two Maple leafs scouts in attendence at recent Predators games. With Vokoun out 6 weeks with a hand injury its believed Nashville is shopping for an affordable temporary back up to Chris Mason and Mikael Tellqvist would certainly fit.

What kind of return could the leafs expect. One would think nothing more than a draft pick but then why would they send scouts to Nashville? Maybe its J-S Aubin who’s being traded with a guy like Josef Vasicek (1 g, 0 a, -5 this season) coming in return. He hasn’t been a great fit for Nashville and played 5 seasons for Paul Maurice. Speculation on my part, but a deal like this could make sense.

obviously Phoenix didnt think that. the leafs clear 590K in cap space, have Nash in the minors, and get a pick that will likely be between 90th and 100th overall in the next i guess he has some value after all. see, and this is important: you have to stop letting your bias seep into your hockey opinions, it makes you look very bad.

yes, Telly didnt yield someone great but i was never saying that he would. i was hoping for a mid round pick and the leafs got that and Nash who probably wont work out but is good to have for depth in the Marlies. AND they cleared cap space.

so get your head out of your butt.
