Clarification: Gagne has more points in fewer games through his 1st 4 seasons than Iginla had in his 1st 4 seasons.

I guess that pretty much answers any questions as to the goaltender issue.

But I think Clarkie screwed himself when he said he doesn't know if Cechmanek wants to play in the NHL anymore. When shopping someone, that should be the LAST thing to say!

Gagne, through his 1st 4 seasons, actually has more points in fewer games than Iginla. I think all too often, many people are ready to give up on someone when they don’t score 100 pts a season within 5 years.

I don't think Therien is useless, but he plays alot smaller than he is. He's listed at 6-5, 230 lbs, and rarely hits. Sami Kapanen, listed at 5-10, 180 lbs, seemed like he had bigger hits in his short time here than Therien had all season.

I don't think he instills the fear in forwards skating to his side that a guy his size should instill. Look at the respect guys like Stevens, Hatcher, and Pronger get. Forwards try to shy away from them for the most part. Not so with Therien b/c they don't fear him.

What Therien is really good for is playing against Jagr, but I don't think we need to worry about that too much, since he's not in the all out offensive system of Pittsburgh any longer.

Good point, one good season in three(too bad he's played 4 seasons). Did you know that Wayne Gretzky only had ONE 215 point season, that guy was terrible too!

Why would you want to trade one of your leading playoff scorers??? Why would you want to trade a guy just because he had one down year? How do you expect him to play well when he was hurt for 50% of the season(add to that the games that his GM told him to "suck it up, you don't want to look like that pussy Lindros do you?" So trade him to Edmonton for Fernando Pisani or Ethan Moreau. There more "your" kind of players.

I said it before the trade deadline and I will say it again - WE NEED IGINLA. Gagne sucks and is way overated. Don't tell me that this guy is going to be a star becuase he will NEVER be one. One good season in three - he is SOFT.
