Jagr to the Russian Super League?

Larry Brooks of the New York Post is reporting that Jagr has received a three year 35 million dollar contract offer from Omsk of the Russian Super League.

As part of the article it is noted that there has been no communication between the Rangers and the Jagr negotiating camp in quite some time despite the fact that the rangers apparently want Jagr to return for another deal. One has to wonder if a possible Jagr departure will be followed by a Mats Sundin entrance.

Larry Brooks also said the Rangers are talking to Sundin about a contract.

I like to think the contrary.  If Jagr goes and NYR can't replace the point production, Sundin may want to stay away becase I am sure he wants every chance to win a cup.  Just an opinion however, NYR is the retirement playground for aging superstars.

I have better sources than Larry Brooks.  They're amateurs, but they're sharp as a whip.

Somebody better let Larry in on the fact that the RSL is no more.  It's now the Continental Hockey League, with plans to have teams outside of Mother Russia.  Lends a little more credibility to the column, and he needs all the credibilty he can muster.
