I think thorton should have laid off till next season he could have got close to tha leauge max if he had waited till next summer, and he could have came back to canada, HIS TRUE HOMELAND…..CANADIAN PLAYERS RULE THE LEAGUE, WITHOUT THEM THERE WOULDN"T BE AN NHL.

Great player in ottawa, and letting him go for nothing really messed up 1st line centre and 2nd for a bit. Useful signing , could be a sleeper hit for thrashers. I see many players like this signed.. while big ones sit.

What happened to tsn coverage free agent frenzy? Thought be all day thing.. I dont want to watch nascar! What gives?

This could be a great deal for the whole league. I think it should put a ceiling on the deals for Drury, Briere, Gomez, and Smyth with the floor being $6million. Some GM is bound to screw it up though. No one can honestly argue that any of the four are worth more than Thorton.

This is the best signing of the day/summer/year. Lock the best playmaker in the league up for 3 more years, at 7.2 year, GREAT deal my Wilson. Wilson could be the best GM in the league.

Thornton could have got 9 mil plus on the open market next year, and chose to stay in San Jose for a lot less money. This team could be dangerous/best team in the league with one more solid forward.
