Jonathan Ferland Good For One More Year

According to canadiens.com, the Montreal Canadiens have signed Jonathan Ferland for one more year.

‘Last season, Ferland was assistant captain for the Calder Cup champion Hamilton Bulldogs. In 22 playoff games with the Canadiens’ farm club, the Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce, Québec native registered nine points (three goals, six assists), a plus-7 rating and 19 penalty minutes. During the regular season, Ferland’s fourth with the Bulldogs, the 24-year-old accumulated 37 points (23 goals and 14 assists), a plus-8 rating and 87 penalty minutes in 78 games.Selected by the Canadiens in the seventh round, 212th overall, at the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, the Ferland played nine games for the Canadiens during the 2005-06 season, recording one goal and two penalty minutes.’
