wow, this guy is just goin downhill. I almost feel bad for him, almost.
OMG this cannot be true! Please tell me this is a joke.
Hahaha that *****y bastard…
There goes my theory of it being Jason Allison… it was apparently a substance found in hair restoration products, and well… he is kinda balding….
Dude, Allison dates my friend and his is as clean a character as you get!
Isnt Jason Allison married?
It might not be theo ya know its also possible its Souray or Ryder
The Habs knew since 3 weeks…
This is problably why theo was playing like a junior with his 8,44 goals allowed per match since the begining of 2006.
I like Allison, it was a joke…
nvm its theo
Calm down people (myself included) it is nothing more than a hair retorer. Everything is and will be fine.
no wonder he’s soo good…
According to Dr. Mulder (Habs Dr.), the drug taken was for hair growth, it’s not a steroid. The product can be used as a masking agent for some steroids but according to the team Dr. Theo has been taking that on and off for 8-9 years, prescribed by a dermatologist.
This product is not on the banned list.
Theo is a skinny MF….the steroid this product can mask if for massive muscle growth(Nandrolone).
Theo should have joinned Lafleur club instead !! The older one might remember Lafleur was the spoke person for Hairfax in the 80′-90’s.
medication for which he tested positive is Propecia, which is used to help hair growth.
he was tested positive on the random testing going on for the Olympics (test took place Dec. 12).
it’s been banned in the NHL also, since 2 years ago, but only a case by case basis… which means players who are tested positive need to explain why they take it.
he’s been taking this medication for the last 8-9 years.
it’s banned because as a side effect, it can contribute in masking the consumption of some steroids in urine samples.
however, it is still possible to verify the use of steroids even for people using Propecia.
Canadiens’ doctor says there’s no way Theo uses steroids.
Theo is NOT and will NOT be suspended.
wouldnt it have been easier for him to just talk to lafleur about hair restoration? has he never heard of hairfax?? LOL
lmfao allison is not dating your friend, just another leaf fan pulling shit out of his ass.
I think I know who you are.
For real.
NO!NO!NO! I am a goalie and Jose Theodore is one of my idols! No it can’t be true! It just can’t!
Poor Balding Goalie. hahahaha
Too bad it wasn’t Belfour…we could have made some bald eagle jokes
tisk tisk…. more propaganda to taint the image of the NHL. Why does it seem the whole world is against hockey right now? THE GUY TOOK HAIR GROWTH FORMULA. Relaaaaaaaaax.
This may be the kind of stupid thing that takes the pressure off Theo so he regains his confidence.
He did not test positive for a steroid but for a masking agent which he took under the care of a licensed physician.
what? a lot of good its doing him if he is, he’s really struggling this year! i like theo, hope it turns out to really BE something from his hair stuff!
What I’m wondering is, do those dumb as Canadien fans still think they could get Liles, Tanguay, and a pick for this loser?
relax, it doesn’t mean he was on steroids. In all likelihood all it means is that he’s on something to prevent balding.
Keep that mouth moving, it’s good for everyone to see how much of an idiot you are. Do you honestly think anyone takes anything you say seriously? You’re a joke on this site.
Have you seen Jose? He’s part monkey… He’s not balding…
I never saw the fuse simmering on you… odd, usually I can tell when somebody is going to go ape…
Aww man I saw this coming…
Theodore doesn’t look like the type of guy who NEEDS a hair growth formula…
Too much ignorance on this site. So many people are talking without even know WHAT they are talking about. Jose Theodore KNEW that what he was taking was illegal by official standards, HOWEVER, this drug he is taking, Propecia is a medication prescribe to prevent hair loss, something that is current in his family. There are also some exceptions issued for this drug to be used as a therapeutic medication for hair loss purposes, which is Theodore’s case. Having taken this drug for the past 8-9 years, he wished to continue to take and therefore filled ALL the required forms and paperwork for him to be allowed to take this drug. When he took the test he KNEW he was going to test positive for this drug and he will appeal the consequences of his positive testing. No consequences will result of this and people should just keep their mouths shut instead of blowing it way out of proportion as usual.
maybe he should just think about buying a wig
haha…go ape?
i’m sure he’d get a penalty for illegal equipment…
Yes way Jose……Your career is officially OVER.
hes more worried about how his hair looks than actually doing his job and stopping pucks……vain.
….shit
Pics plz, or it didn’t happen.
lol what a crappy hero. If you want a french goalie I suggest Brodeur.
lol what ignorance on our part the guy tested positive for something he knew was banned.

Here for future reference.
Here’s what closes the story… statement by NHL deputy commissioner:
“Today’s announcement will not impact Jose Theodore’s eligibility
to play in the National Hockey League, regardless of the ultimate
resolution of the ongoing appeal proceedings before the
Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sports (the “CCES”).
Mr. Theodore also will not risk NHL sanctions as a result of any
future positive test for this particular substance within the
NHL/NHLPA Performance Enhancing Substances Program because
he made a timely and proper application for a Therapeutic Use
Exemption for his longstanding medically prescribed use of Propecia.”

I wonder when Ed Belfour is gonna test positive for Robaxacet?
lol that was a good one. My cousin and I always make jokes about Eddie’s water bottle being filled with Vodka.
I guess the stuff works.
If he’s taking something to prevent baldness, wouldn’t it make sense for him to not be bald?
No fuse, no going ape, it just needed to be said.
That’s because he’s been taking it for 8 or 9 years and it works.
Listen to the laughter.
He’s not even going to get suspended for this. He tests positive for a hair growth drug and his career is over? That’s a bit of a stretch. The only way his career is over is if he somehow never regains his confidence. A confident Jose is top 5 in the league, a Jose without confidence is, as we’ve seen, not even a starter.
Of course, improving one’s physical appearance and playing goal in the NHL are mutually exclusive.
ya he might be f***** your friend, and if he is, your friend is a whore.
why the hell isnt Sundin taking the same stuff?
hahahaha f*** kid, you hit that one right on the nose hahahaah. what a douche,
