The Boston Bruins have traded center Jozef Stumpel and a 2003 7th round pick to the Los Angeles Kings in return for a 2003 4th round pick and a 2004 2nd round pick.
Dude might as well just play for both teams next year. Has this happend since expansion??? The guy has been dealt 3 times in his career now, and only played for Boston and L.A, that’s insane!!!
A good pickup by the Kings. If they sign Robitaille, they’ll finally have two strong scoring lines and hopefully the depth to endure any injury problems they face next year.
I think the Kings will be back in the playoffs w/ a vengence.
I like what the kings are doing. They are building a solid team and not overspending.
i dunno i prefer younger more dependble players. also the kings have promised a great second line center to come to LA replacing Smolinski. They actually have some money to spend not much but better than nothing
Stupid! I liked Stumpy! He was a good clutch player. Why trade him? Smart for the Kings though. They need depth desperatly!
Funny though, especially if he goes back to Boston in another year or so. It could be a record.
Agreed, they didnt get much in return, unless its just a salary dump…
Good job Bruins, show how dedicated you are to winning. Especially when your looking to resign key players. This leaves us with no 3rd line center, because Rolston is obviously now 2nd line
Isn’t Samsonov an RFA or something? They could have just been freeing up money to resign him. If they trade HIM too, then you can be pissed.
Don’t worry Bruins fans, Stumpel will be back in a couple of years.
Aaron, you might be right about the Kings after this deal. A great move, especially when they were so stocked with picks.
Kings get stronger.
ya, your right, but doesn’t it always seem like the Bruins are freeing up money?
Dave Taylor promised that he was going to find a winger that will play first line next to Allison and Deadmarsh (who are almost 100%) so that means are second line will be:
Loiks good to me
