Kings and Buds trade aways

The kings and Leafs are two teams who will definetly be sellers at the deadline. So, who will the buyers go after.

TOP TIER BLUELINERS:

Leafs: Kaberle
Kings: Blake

Advantage Leafs. Kaberle is cheaper, younger, has more years on his contract, and is more offensive minded (offensive players typically are more sought after at the deadline). Both have no trade clauses. I see The king picking up a handsome reward for dealing Blake, and kaberle refusing to waive his no trade clause.

OVERPAID ROLE PLAYING DEFENSEMEN:

Leafs: McCabe, kubina
Kings: Stuart

Huge advantage Kings. Stuart has 1 year leaft and is much cheaper. Stuart goes for a fair amount, Kubina goes for wasted salary coming back, and Mccabe refuses to waive his no trade clause.

YOUNG UNDERACHIEVING DEFENSEMEN:

Leafs: White
Kings: Johnson

Advantage kings. You laugh, but I’ve heard Johnsons name in trade rumors. He’s had an iffy rookie year (on a dreadful team), but the kings would be idiots to deal him. White has little to no value. Niether is traded.

OVERPAID UNDERACHIEVING FORWARDS:

Leafs: Blake, Tucker
Kings: Handzus

Advantage Leafs. Handzus has been handed around like a hot potatoe, with no success anywhere. Blake and Tucker are having rough years, and are showing signs of life. Handzus goes for nothing, Blake goes for nothing, and Tucker refuses to waive his no trade clause.

NOTABLE MENTIONS

Leafs: Steen, Sundin
Kings: Calder, Thornton

My call on this one, is that none of these guys get traded. Calder stays for his final year, Steen has too little trade value, Thornton is one of a million role players up for sale, and Sundin refuses to waive his no trade clause.
