I don't think Burke is actually considering trading Kadri at all. That being said, if a player like Staal or Nash become available he will be the first big chip in the deal guaranteed.

I cannot see him being dealt for Brassard, it is kind of step backwards for the Leafs, more depth 2nd/3rd line centers, less raw talent.

All rumors are speculation. Be realistic...What GM's say they will trade a player? However, their are people like Freidman that break news of what teams are discusiing...And it does look like its Kadri.

So if it makes you feel better. I will say that "I" believe he will be gone by next season.

Once again, I don't see much room for him on this roster and if he has value, you trade for something that could make you better. Just because he has looked good in the AHL, does not mean he will be good in the "NHL" so if a for sure "70 point" guys is availabe....Bye Bye Kadri.

Sorry this is borderline confrontational lol. I just get annoyed when people write Kadri off. Which I realize your not doing but usually trading Kadri comes along with that…

Spector and Augello were both commenting on Bruce Garrioch. He's was long ago proven to have no sources and besides the idea behind makes little sense for actual discussion between the two teams. Brassaed isn't an improvement on any center we have, and center hasn't been an issue for us with Colborne. Despite that, Brassard would in no way bring a return of a highly touted prospect back (and Kadri has done jack shit to reduce his value) . So there goes that rumor.

And the Elliott Freidman 30 thoughts blog merely had him speculating. He said he got the "sense" that teams were scouting Kadri. That's hardly conclusive and could merely speculate that since Kadri is doing so well in the AHL he could be a could chip and he could be getting scouted. All it suggests is that people who have half a brain see Kadri as having value and might be available for the right price.Kessel could be had for the right price. Yay!

And I don't consider hockeybreak a source. I've followed him for a long time and he's never actually broken anything but droll.

So yeah find me ones that actually point to discussions between teams about him r have him specifically being scouted by teams. There is very little to suggest that. All these rumors are is the product of people with too much time on their hands and a brain. It's not hard to suggest that Kadri is a big chip and Burke would move him for the right price.

Honestly, I doubt he does trade him. Burke doesn't trade guys he's picked at the draft. I can honestly not remember a time he did it. In fact he defends them vehemently (like Bobby Ryan). I would hazard a hi bet on Kadri being a Leaf next season.

Trading Kadri doesn't make sense. He's cheap, he's young, he's uber-talented. Unless were getting that number 1 center back (in which case I'll sign his goodbye card myself), it makes little sense to trade Kadri. He's developing fine and he's probably the highest talented player we have in the minors (and potentially in the organization, behind only Kessel).

I won't say your wrong. But conclusively stating Kadri will be gone? A little ahead of the game I think.

Funny how people talk about Kadri but when you look at New Jersey and Philly they both have weak points on the backend. Very well could be scouting Aulie. Just my two cents.

And I'm not saying its for nothing small...However, if their is a deal for an upgrade it looks like Kadri's the man out. I think it will happen...Most likely next off-season at the draft or free agency, but I will not say I am nowhere near wrong on this.

How are they showcasing him? They moved him behind Colborne right now on the Marlies and they didn't have him come up to the NHL when the opportunity existed. That's the opposite of showcasing.

And I'd like to know what numerous trade talks. With the exception of Holmgren asking for him (shows he's valuable), it's been hearsay by rumor mongers and fans on websites.

I'll tell you your wrong. Unless its a first liner you trade a kid whose going on three straight years of steady improvement since draft day.

We'll learn before next season. It looks like Toronto is showcasing him and he has been mentioned in numerous trade talks already. These are not signs of..."A vote of confidence" right now and if Toronto can get an upgrade, he will be the first to go.

I will tell you that much.
