Komisarek reportedly has a list of teams he will accept trade to

For the first and only time this season, the Toronto Maple Leafs will not take to the ice for one of their traditional Saturday night games, but even without a game today, we have plenty of Maple Leafs news making the rounds.

Mike Komisarek, who hasn’t played since February 2nd against the Bruins, has reportedly issued a list of 12 teams he would accept a trade to.

Komisarek, along with defenseman John-Michael Liles, has been a healthy scratch the last few games, and it now appears he has played his last game for the ‘Blue and White’. The former Montreal Canadien had missed time earlier this year after an apparent temper tandrum, but the real reason for such a demotion has come down to his play on the ice.

Komisarek is by no means the same player the Leafs thought they were getting when they signed him to a five-year free agent contract worth $22.5 million in 2009, which included a limited no-movement clause. After being considered a solid defensive presence on the Montreal blue line, Komisarek never looked comfortable in a Leafs uniform, posting a negative plus / minus rating the last three years. This season, he has appeared in just four games and is due $4.5 million for this season and next.
