this makes me sick how the league can suspend kubina for hitting the player in the neck and not the ottawa player who broke bells ankle whats good for one has to be for the other but then again ottawa has always been and always will be a bunch of babies when things dont go there way

    good call by the league.

heatley should have been suspended for a game too, but what Kubina did was worse in terms of intent and it occurring after the play (so, if Heatley was suspended for a game – and he should have been – but that would mean Kubina should be gone for 2 games).

in any case, Kubina should be suspended for such a dumb act. we’ll see him later in the week.

Im sure that Kubinas was more of an accident, I highly doubt he meant to check the kid in the head. But checking to the head will alwas draw that. Im alright with the suspension, but what grinds my gears is really the Heatley thing. Heatleys was an attempt to injure, it had to ahve been. The puck was pretty much in the the far corner by the time he slashed Bell’s muscle to pieces.

I DONT think it was an accident, i have to admit what he did was really stupid but, the player isnt hurt, i think he should have just got fined not suspended.I think we need new people working at the nhl, Heatly did it on pupose(you can so tell) and injured the young guy and got nothing!!Thats crap if you ask me.

    Kubina deserved it.
    But so did Heatley.

As long as we don’t have more whiners complaining that the league “favors” the Leafs.
