Leafs have lots of players, prospects and draft picks available for the right deal. They include Komosarek and/or defense prospects like Blacker and Holzer along with Armstrong, Lombardi, Grabovski and/or forward prospects like D'Amigo, Mueller or even Kadri and goaltenders Gustavsson and Scrivens may be available for a top 3 forward like Stasny, Parise, Spezza, Carter, Semin or Paajarvi. Trading two or three players and picks would not hurt the depth. Personally I would like Backes or Carter but would be even happier if a Duschene, Traveres, or a Stamkos were available but of course they are not. just imagine what the leafs could do for Columbus to get Nash and Carter?

It's also a little bit of fantasy vs reality hockey here. I mean your opinion can vary based on how you view it. For instance, if I was picking a team and starting from Scratch I woudl take Brown over Kulemin, but it is so close that in the Leafs situation I would leave things like they are, and bank on chemistry and the guy we drafted, so I wouldn't trade Kulemin for Brown straight up.

It's too early to tell who's going to be competing for the scoring race. There's a bunch of players right now with way more points than anybody ever thought they'd have, with only 20 or so games in.

You do realize that Toronto has played 2 more games than Boston, right? Nobody here is really thinking "we're just as good as Boston, right now, because we're tied in points" and this is coming from somebody who couldn't care less about the leafs. Boston has had a great stretch, but a loss is coming.
