Its amazing what a slow start will do for a guy. Great observation hockey_lover. Also, this is the worst time to trade Kulemin, he's struggling. These are the times you get fleeced and give away a good player.

Best thing to do is to just hope he comes out of it sooner than later. Kulemin has more potential value to the Leafs right now then he has value on the trade market. Anyone disagree with that?
I sincerely doubt the Kings move Richards so soon after acquiring him. Not only is he playing up to hype, he fixed a need they had for a 2nd line center, and they gave up a top prospect for him. He isn't being move, as much as I'd love him.

Depending on how the kings do this season, I would make a push for Richards.

Lupul/Richards/Kessel

If the asking price is too high than try and sign Parise in the off season which would cost us nothing but salary, wouldn't have to give up any picks or prospects.
I could see him being similar to Macarthur but not Armstrong. I don't think he is a big hitter and very physical guy like armstrong, but he can probably shield the puck well with his body. I think D'Amigo will be a mix of MaCarthur's speed and skill and with Kulemin's toughness. Even though Kuley isn't scoring any goals right now, he is still one of our better two-way forwards.
I see D'amigo as a fringe second line scorer or at worse a 3rd line grinder. He has the potential to be a guy like Clarke Mac Arthur but could very well end up like a Colby Armstrong. Still not a bad thing.

I don't understand all the hate on Kuelmin. I mean hes not playing bad. He is on the PP and the PP is playing well. He is not a defensive liability, He is the best boardsman on this team and is difficult to knock off the puck. He is just not hitting mesh and like ive stated before, if he continues to play like he is sooner of later the puck will go in. Willing to bet my signed Gretzky poster if he is traded he tears it up and becomes one of those trades we regret.

Well in the case of Toronto both Lombaridi and Komisareak and injured for some time and qualify for LTIR. So there is a bit of breathing room.

I find all this trade talk about Kulemin absolutely amusing.

Before the season, there was some mention of what it would take for the Leafs to get Staal from the Pens. I said that it would likely be centered around Kulemin.

I was told I was crazy and a homer and that Staal isnt worth Kulemin and he is part of the core of the Leafs.

A few months later ... Kulemin is almost in every trade rumour.... along with Kadri, who a few months ago, was a cant miss prospect.

Heh. Good times.
More than likely Percy will do what McKegg did and get a few games at the AHL level at the end of the year. He won't be rushed though, he still has a year of eligibility left at the OHL level so they will give him the full four years there and then give him at least a year on the AHL level. I feel like Burke's been working towards this for a while and now he finally has a system deep enough that allows him to take prospects along slowly and steadily, the same way Detroit does. Especially with the depth the Leafs have moving forward on defense, there is no reason to rush him.

Kadri is 21. We really don't need to be worried about if he hasn't made it year or not. He played almost 30 games last year and did decently, for a rookie forward on a bottom 10 team. We have depth at scoring for the first time in a long time, there is simply no need to rush him. If Burke finds a deal that makes sense to trade him in, he will, but it won't for anything less than a top 6 forward. The kid is tougher than people give him credit, and he has a chippyness that's quite comparable to Mike Richards (same size to). No worry about that. We have more than enough time to bring the guy along, no need to worry about rushing him. Lots of prospects take time to develop. Couture is a perfect example.

Depends what your expecting for D'Amigo. When the Leafs drafted him, they drafted him as a guy that projected as a third line guy. The WJC tourney showed he had a little more offense to him but he's still more than likely a top 9 guy with some offensive upside.
