In an ideal world there is two trades I would be okay with for Grabovski.

conditional pick. (2nd that becomes a first if they make it to the cup finals.)

If we got back this type of return then I would be content. It would really make me happy if Grabovski then came back through FA. Hell if he was cool with this trade and willing to come back I say give the guy his well deserved 5 million per year contract.

Haha fair point. Personally I'm more confident in the Avs falling than the Caps. Especially if we're trading them Grabo.

I just don't think they are in a position organizationally to be making moves for a UFA. I could see them moving those assets for a guy like Carter, but I think, even though they are within striking distance of the playoffs, that they will hold steady.

I'd prefer Oleksiak but I'm not sure they move him since they just drafted him. I think the decision to bring in Grabo would be to make the playoffs for the added revenue. They're only 4 points back of LA and Phoenix plus they have a game in hand.

LOL, Wash or Col fist does it really matter? The Caps have just as good of a chance of blowing up then the Avs do, IMO.

Apparently the Chicago blogger on the hockeybuzz website (I know, hockeybuzz, whatever) thinks he's the ideal center for Hossa. That could really work in our favour. They have Marcus Kruger above MacNeil on the depth chart so they can afford to give him up I think.

The more I think about it, the more I'm ok with dealing him.

Yeah, I like MacNeil's game for sure, he is the type of player we need, young big, hard nosed, speaking of hard nose Beach, seems to be a forgotten man there, getting him included could be sweet, tuff, crazy a$$ guy.
