Leafs to Follow in Canucks Footsteps?

Does JFJ have the guts to do what Nonis did? or will he just flab around and do some annoying pointless thing, we will have to see, I WILL actually check money and contracts so this is atleast kind of realistic but Im not sure if JFJ would have the guts to do something like this, well here are my ideas…

Alright, I did some reasearch and found out money and things so here we go.

Some of these guys are good and they have been performing well but we have to make sacrafises to get a good team so if we let these guys go:

Peca 2.5 mil
O’niel 1.5 mil
Antropov 1.007 mil
Deveraux 0.45 mil
Battaglia 0.5 mil
Perrault 0.7 mil
Belak 0.675 mil
Aubin 0.5 mil
Sundin 7.6 mil (resign in free agency)

Trade Players:
Kubina for Foote
Gill for Smolinski

That Free’s up about 16 mil

If we can resign Sundin for as cheap as we can that gives us about 11 mil to spend.

We can sign:
Joseph 1.5 – 1 year
Drury 4 mil – 2 years
Roberts 2 mil – 2 years
Linden 0.3 mil – 1 year
Kilger 0.5 mil – 1 year
Steen 0.7 mil – 3 years
Smolinski 3 mil – 2 years

Explenations:

Smolinski’s signing might seem far from real but remember we traded gill, so that free’s up 3 mil, but seeing as Smolinski is a free agent at the end of the year, we could use Gills money to sign him.

Joseph would be a good backup goalie to releave pressure from raycroft and to train him, he could split time, it would be great to see him back in blue and white, Joseph was not only my idea, i got some re-ensurement from replies to my post.

Request:
Please restrain from saying things like “that is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard or “Is this a joke!” because I spent quite a bit of time figuring out layers salaries and free agents and it is not as far fetched as you may think.

Thank you, have a good day.
