Leafys Rumor Roundup
After a disappointing election night for me, (Did anyone else see the Whalers jersey at the Joe Lieberman rally???) I am back to the rumor mill, and deals are being discussed heavily.

There is a huge problem with these Philadelphia Flyers rumors, while they’re interested reportedly in Vesa Toskala, and Roman Hamrlik, the players other teams seem to be interested in are Forsberg, Carter, and Richards, all believed to be “untouchable”. While Esche, Gagne, and Umberger don’t appear to be untouchable, they are also not nearly as valuable, and if Robert Esche is someone you may be trading, well, Vesa Toskala ussually isn’t that much of a step up on Esche, and after the flash of “new NHL” excitement, last year, we saw some of the veterans getting better, which makes me wonder will the same happen to Esche this year.
The Ottawa Senators are offering up Anton Volchenkov, and players who’s names have come up according to Spectors are Vancouver’s Brendan Morrison, Philadelphia’s Peter Nedved, and Los Angeles’s Craig Conroy. I can see the Sens preferring Craig Conroy, because he’s cheaper and better, but because of both reasons, it may be easier to pry Brendan Morrison away from Vancouver. On Peter Nedved, well they were struggling more when he was on waivers, if they really wanted him, they should have gotten him then.
Hockeyleaks.com is suggesting that Colorado and Los Angeles could get into the Daniel Alfredsson sweepstakes. Calgary has also been named a few times in the rumors, from hockeybuzz, and hockeyleaks.
