Hinzy, are you kidding??? LeClair won't even get this team into the playoffs. First off, they can't ride Blackburn, he's too young. When he played at the start of the year(I believe 19 in a row), it cost them the playoffs. LeClair is on the decline, hardcore! This team has zero chemistry, and LeClair may help that playing with Eric, but I believe Eric is going to ask to be traded. He excerised because if he was bought out, there is no way he would get as much money on the open market. This team needs some tough d-men, and more toughness and heart on the first two lines. Holik, Nedved, and Bure are just jokes on ice. At least Pavel can play(when healthy), I didn't think Holik deserved more then 3 mil on the open market, and he got 9 somehow. Why??? Because the guy shutdown Lemieux one year in the playoffs? Nevermind the fact Stevens was stuck to him for the entire series as well. Holik is a minor step above Todd Marchant. He'll be getting about 4 mil this offseason and that's way overpriced too!!! And let's not start on Nedved. Anyways, back to your point about the LW. Yes they need one, but they need the LeClair from 5 years ago, not the John LeClair we know today. How about taking a run a Keith "Paycheck"? They got the guys that could land him. Lindros, and Carter staright across, then move Demitra to the left side. Stillman's a LW if that's your cup of tea. Not too bad for a start Hinzy, just voicing my opinion.

RS: At least you can harken back to something less than a decade ago...many other team fans don't have that luxury.

1994 to me is STILL the greatest day in NY Sports history in my lifetime.

I remember game 7 counting down the last :10 and killing the volume on my TV set and listening too all the apartment buildings and surrounding bars go absolutly nuts! I will never forget the chills and emotion of that night. I actually had the Ranger team cup photo in my office.

Sather would never do that because Babcock would get all the credit.

But the Dolans are taking a bath. If they dropped: Bure, Leetch, Messier and Nedved they would probably make the playoffs, Cablevision might actually make money off them for a change.

I know, right? We can't win because we "bought the cup" if we do win it. I would LOVE to see this group finally put it together and pound every team into submission so finally we can show that these guys had it in them all along. As they say, "Defense wins Championships" and it is absolutely true in the case of the Devils as well. The Rangers need to do something defensively and add that coach like we all have been preaching. For the future, I feel Pisa and Tjutin will be huge on the blueline. Both have hte capabilities of being 2 way dmen. As for Dale Purinton, i give hte guy credit..I use to pray to god the Rangers would let him go, but after this season he proves he has a ton of heart...something we lack tremedously!

Why not trade the entire Ranger team for J.S. Giguere, Keith Carney, Steve Ruchin, and coach Mike Babcock? Actually, I doubt Bryan Murray would be foolish enough to make that trade considering that Sather could supplement with AHL players and Babcock would still do very well in the playoffs while Anaheim might become a candidate for the #1 overall pick..

LOL. Though the way the New York Rangers work, it's their only option left since nothing else works.

I couldn't have said it better myself, and you have a great point about if they do/don't win the cup. I love the Rangers, and I know this rumor is very silly, and it certainly doesn't speak for all of us Rangers fans who really want to see our team do better.
