Linden close to re-signinig
Rumor – Vancouver Canucks C Trevor Linden is close to re-signing with the team. Linden had 12 goals and 13 assists with the Canucks last season. The contract will probabaly be the about the same terms as last year’s. A 1 year deal worth around $600,000.
Linden was orignally drafted by the ‘Nucks in the 1988 draft
second overall in the first round. He has also played for the NY Islanders, Montreal Canadiens, and Wahington Capitals in his Career before beeing traded back to Vancouver. In realted news, the Vancouver Canucks have signed C Ryan Shannon. Terms of the deal were not released. Shannon was aquired in a trade that sent Jason King and a conditonal draft pick to the Ducks. In 53 games with the Ducks he had 11 points (2 goals 9 assists).
