From reports I've heard, he's pretty much quit hockey and checked himself into a rehab center to treat himself of an apparent cocaine addiction which he's apparently had his entire career. I have no sources but that's what reports came out at the Trade Deadline. If it's the case, smart move by Kilger as your health is first and foremost the most important thing in your life, hockey comes second to that.

Florida might be a bit reluctant to make a deal with the leafs for a player that really does not want to move in McCabe, as I am pretty sure they still remember kilger not showing up basically. What ever happened with that anyway??? Anyone know?

If Dan Fritsche wants to be a Ranger, he needs to sign a contract before his arbitration hearing. If he does not sign beforehand, I truly hope he is not required to be present at the hearing? As well as that does not read any of the transcipts, or hear any of the comments regarding what was said about him. Sather takes these hearings very very personal, maybe way way too personal. I don't know why, but regardless that is how Slats is and he's the GM of the Rangers and if Fritsche want's to be a Ranger??? It would behoove him to sign a contract before Slats even puts together a case against him. Even if Fritsche does win, he really loses especially if his contract puts the Rangers over the cap? I'm sure instead of letting him walk, Sather would just make him play most of the year in AHL Hartford. Here is some advice Dan, Dont Do It! I'm not sure of the rule, but when Jonas Frogren signed with Toronto, he was only allowed to sign a 1 year, 2-way deal and the same thing is apparently happening with that Finnish star the Pens are trying to sign.

WAIT!! Now that I think about it, the NHL-Europe Transfer Agreement just ended like the Monday after the NHL Draft and Brunnstrom was signed in Early June, when the Transfer Agreement was still in effect, which allowed him to sign a 2 year, 1-way deal with the Stars. I'm nearly 100% positive this is why European players can now only sign a 1 year, 2-way deal until a new agreement is in place, which seems like a long-shot at this point.
