What do Tomas Kaberle, Ian White, Carlo Colaiacovo and Hal Gill have in common, other than the fact they played on the Maple Leafs defence together for two seasons from 2006-08?

All don’t know where, or if, they will be playing National Hockey League this season.

And they are no by any means alone. A long list of former Leafs unsigned in this summer of the shrinking salary cap makes you wonder who will be back and who will get lost in the shuffle heading to training camp next month.

Most teams have done their buying, save for some bargain basement garage style shopping.

Also without jobs: Steve Sullivan, Brad Boyes, David Steckel, Matthew Lombardi, Tim Connolly, Jamal Mayers and Ryan O’Byrne.
