Martin entertaining offers

Let’s Guess how long it’ll take till Jacques Martin is a new head coach… Could this happen very soon?

According to the Ottawa Sun, his agent, Rob Campbell, has fielded a couple of calls from NHL teams interested in hiring Martin.
Martin would likely need permission from the Senators before holding any discussions about a new job, but two possibilities are the Phoenix Coyotes and Columbus Blue Jackets.

However, if Martin decides to wait until after the playoffs to find a new job, he could have some others options. The word is Colorado and Dallas could both have openings, while New Jersey’s situation is unsettled because of Pat Burns’ battle with colon cancer.

Meanwhile, Ottawa GM John Muckler has already started his search for a new coach, but might not be alone in chasing ex-Blues coach Joel Quenneville.

Citing sources, the Sun suggests the New York Rangers have already approached Quenneville and the Phoenix Coyotes are also interested.
