Perfect replacement for Breezy at 1.75 per year.

  2. future_agent says:

he sucks…Habs still blow something hard.

  3. evilnick88 says:

Great pickup. We really needed a Quebecois guy to keep the balance, too…

  4. simplyhabby says:

I can hear you gulping the white goo from here. Oh thats why, you want to be a future agent!

  5. skandelousHABSfan says:

Good solid pickup on the blueline.

I just submitted an article about other possible hab future additions including: Peter Worrell, Satan and Forsberg (who was sighted in Downtown montreal today……….which might just be wishfull thinking by whoever called that into the team990).

MOntreals gone krazy, in a good way!!!!

  7. Resmo112 says:

dandenault is fat and worthless, fast as hell, but other than that worthless

  8. sakukoivu says:

good for the habs. I think they still have some work to be done. they still need another power forward. satan or selanne would be a great fit. need a fighter roy or even peter worell and maybe can sign another d-man like rafalski

    GO HABS GO

  9. skandelousHABSfan says:

with all the new rules fast is going to be a huge asset.

  10. Lint07 says:

..And here I am being right with my Dandenault prediction and my superstar forward prediction.

If Gainey goes out and sign either Satan / Kariya / Selanne, this could become the greatest offensive Habs edition in years.

I still feel like we need a good D, though.

    Schneider, perhaps?

  11. Dover says:

I’m a leaf fan, and as much as I hate the canadians I have to give em credit, they are doing things to improve. They will sign a power forward, Forsburg is a LONG shot though.

Does John Ferguson realize it is August 3rd and not July 3rd?

  12. skandelousHABSfan says:

satan will be a great fit, but selanne is over the hill. better to bring up one of the youngsters than get selanne and his bad attitude, regardless of his relationship with saku.

Worrell or Roy would be Huge pickups as they both would add some size and Worrell would be able to protect the new stars…..they both also happen to be from the montreal area

  13. skandelousHABSfan says:

I doubt that schneider would want to come back. unless he has a good relationship with dandenault.

do you know who each of them were paired with when in d-town?

  14. Resmo112 says:

yeah but he really could never shoot, he’s not smart on D, he takes stupid penalties occasionally, but you’re right he is VERY fast, one of the fastest in the league and it’s a huge loss to detroit. But do you think he’s worth 1.75 ESPECIALLY in this new league?

  15. Lint07 says:

btw, fans in Montreal will absolutely love Dandenault. A nice french canadian kid who’s ultra fast and plays with heart.

    Great pickup, Bob!

  16. skandelousHABSfan says:

Hes a vet that is has 3 stanely cup rings and lots of playoff experiance. i think that 1.75 is fair.

  17. shawn_habs says:

i dunno about this one, if he was cheaper it would be a great move. id much rather the habs try and get a topfour guy like Rafalski than another 5-6 guy

  18. Resmo112 says:

he never really played in the first two stanley cup championships, he’s been the wings utility player for years that’s really it. i would say AT MOST he’s a 1.25 and that’s stretching it. Hell in the old league the best he got was 1.8 so he only had to take a .05. But i respect your opinion and see exactly where you’re coming from, but the only playoff run he was really ever an assest in was the 2004 season, that’s where he recieved he most playing time. If he had been given time to develop on offence i bet you he would have done really well, or been kept on defence, once you see him play and watch him day in day out you’ll understand, he never picked up a defensive game.

  19. skandelousHABSfan says:

i understand where your coming from, but i still think its a good pickup. pierre mcguir from tsn is on montreal radio every day and yesterday he said that dandenault would be huge.

i like to make my own oppinions usually, but i know pierre and he is a really smart hockey guy, im gonna hope that he is right, and the habs have a good replacement for brisebois

do they stream and what time is it on i’d like to check it out, i assume you’re from canada if so you may not realize that american radio sucks ass especially when it comes to hockey news. detroit is ok they’re updating whenever a signing happens but i tell ya it’s one of the few.
