McCarty's Stanley Cup rings up for auction
As some of you probably know, Darren McCarty filed for bankruptcy earlier this year…
Bankruptcy trustees will auction off such materialistic things as: Harley Davidson motorcycle, a Corvette, a Crownline motorboat, a Ski-Doo and nine televisions.
Buuuuut, Among the other items listed for auction were the three Stanley Cup rings McCarty won as a member of the Detroit Red Wings, two replica Staney Cup trophies and various jerseys, photos and other momentos of McCarty’s career.
Sure, McCarty is probably a tough player, and I’m almost certain he’s not a fan favorite. But for the love of god why take these things? I mean, his stanley cup rings!!! How can someone buy that and feel good about themselves!?
Anyway, if anyone has money out there, or anyone KNOWS anyone with money out there. If you feel that you need to do a good deed before you kick the bucket, please buy McCarty’s rings and give them back to him…
