I personaly like that we got Jay Mckee I would have rather had Kubina but hey I Johnson desides to play insted of goin to Minnesota then we won’t need Kubina and I’d rather have Mckee be one of the guys teachin him.

This is more than likely why the Leafs went with Gill over McKee, 4 million is to much for McKee. I think the Leafs original plan was to get a feel for what the costs were going to be and then zero in on what they could afford. I think they planned on going for Kubina and McKee, but saw that McKee’s price was going up and decided on Kubina and Gill instead.

At 4 million a season McKee is singing alot of things, but the Blues ain’t one of them.

Good add for St. Louis. On paper they have a solid defencive core. Now all we need is 8-9 forwards or so.
