If you had been at your job for all of those years, and suddenly you were sent packing – to another city – another country (Leetch is U.S. born), away from your family, friends and everything you know…

Most players don’t want to be traded. Then check with them a couple of years later – they’re settled in their new teams (lives) and don’t want to be traded from there.

I think Leetch will always be a Ranger deep down. But he will adjust and Toronto won’t always be the “other team” it is for him now.

So – no shit he’s not happy where he is. Duh. This is no breaking news story. It’s normal. Toronto fans know hockey and so know how this adjustment works.

Give Leetch awhile to collect himself, the fact he has a legit chance to play in the finals, let alone the playoffs is enough incentive for him to play for what all NHLers really play for , and thats the Cup!

As soon as they got off. they were yelling about how bad he sounded and how he doesn’t sound happy. Mike then said he was on the phone with Brian before he came on the show and it sounds like he wants to be back already. Both Sport analysts said they could see him coming back without a doubt. They were not the only ones. Everyone who talked to him said the same thing. Papers, news reporters. Its not that he doesn’t like Toronto or it’s fans it’s that he is a New Yorker. It almost…. Not really but kind of like Sundin in NY. It just doesn’t work.

To tell you the truth I wouldn’t be surprised at all if he came back. The lock out is going to happen. Everyone knows it. but your right I don’t know 100% but hockey will be out till at least December maybe Jan. sooooo if this 6-7 months with one team and ( and still no cup in Toronto) is enough to wanna stay with a team and leave 18 years of friends and family behind. Your just completely out of your mind.

I know a lot of Toronto fans do not want to hear it. I don’t blame you. Leetch is a great player. But his heart is in NY.
