Who knows??? He's not scoring, he's not passing, he plays terrible in defense, he doesn't win that many draws, why isn't he in Hamilton yet is beyond me??? I guess he's good without the puck and great in the dressing room???

They should get rid of Gomez and hire me, In my beer league I'm also great without the puck and probably one of the best guy in the dressing room and i would only ask for .500k/season!

I TOTALLY AGREE i think that being gm of the canadiens should matter if you speak french or not it should come down to the best man available for the jobregardless of language he speaks like it used to be! roy however would be a great choice as well,but he won't go there unless he has full atonomy to make the changes he wants,however i think like i said we'll probably see julien brisebois as the next g.m. of the habs

I see your point, they definitely wont be able to afford all of Gorges, Price, Kostitsyn, Subban, Gill now with Kaberle. But I'd give up Gorges and Gill for a 60 point producer anyday. lol.

Although to be honest, I think they will just buyout Gomez. He is making 5.5M and 4.5M in his last 2 years of his contract reducing the cap amount by half for the next 2 years and only adds 1.667M in cap 2 years after that. Although considering the lower salary amount and high cap hit he might make a good pickup on waivers for a cap-floor team.

Highly doubtful he ever gets picked up on waivers but come to think of it he probably would on re-entry waivers, the cap hit would be the same the first season, and even less on season 2 while giving a cap floor team a 3.7M contract paying only 2.75M/2.25M in cash. Not too bad.

I'm French and i hate that the Habs always have to have a french GM or Coach, what kind of bullsh!t is that, is it because the medias in Montreal are too retarded to translate an after game conference, it must be?? The only french guy I would like to see in Montreal is Patrick Roy but he'll never accept a position there, not as long as the habs carry contracts like Gomez, Cammalleri and markov!
