I like the way Macarthur plays as well, but I think he is better suited for the third line, same with Bozak.

Lombardi-Bozak-Macarthur.....would be an excellent third line.

Scouting has him ranked as the top goalie. But most mock drafts have him at the end of the 1st, and i doubt the Islanders draft a goalie that high.

LOL…..I said he wasn't a true scraper, but I feel against teams like Boston and Philly who usually man handle us yes. These are teams that will stand in the way of playoff sucess, and are physical, we are not overly physical. Over what you want to be a long series it will wear out team down, someone else to help wear down theres isn't the worst idea to me.

Fair point I guess. All though he's not exactly a true fighter. And do we really need someone to drop the glvoes in the bottom 6? It's worked without it up to this point, I don't see why we need it now. I don't see a spot for him, so I just don't see the need.

And I'm cool with no trades. I still rather not go after him. I'm not really a fan of his.

If the leafs can make the playoffs with the team they have right now, than I am all for not making any trades. Even IF we aquire Getzlaf, we will not win the cup. Just making the playoffs for the first time since the lockout will be a huge stepping stone for next season already. Not to mention players like Bozak, Grabovski, Kulemin, Gardiner, Schenn, Gunnarsson, Reimer, Gustavsson will get their first taste of playoff experience and maybe even Kadri, Colborne, Frattin and Aulie if there are injuries and they get called up.

If we can get into the playoffs and keep all of our great assests and our 1st in this years draft, then I would be really happy.
