My hockey novel, ENFORCER, has been published(!)

Hope you all don’t mind–but I just had to tell somebody!! A book I wrote, called ENFORCER, has been published in paperback and is now available at Barnes and Noble and the publisher’s site, 1st Also, local bookstores should be able to order it within the next few weeks, as well.

There is info and a preview of the book at 1st Books – ENFORCER and I have a new website with the links and info at Official Website for ENFORCER .

The book just became available this past week — and I am hoping to hear back from hockey fans & fight fans about it. A friend of mine, Link Gaetz wrote the foreword for me. Please wish me luck in this!! 🙂

I just finished reading the story of Doug Smith in the book, “Goon”. Good read – he mentions Gatz in there a few times. I will definately check it out.

  3. linkgaetz says:

Thanks!!! I hope you do write one–there is not much hockey fiction “out there” that is current/relevant, as you know!!

So whats it about?? Hehehe just kidding, congradulations. Do me a favor…don’t ever be one of those sad, lonely looking authors that sets up a table at the local malls book store and sits there waiting for somebody to ask you for a signed book. Those people are the saddest people on earth and quite possibly the only thing that actually makes me feel bad in this world. Just sad. But congradulations.

  5. titans says:

You have to know how to read before you can write doofus!

  6. linkgaetz says:

thanks…I think!! 🙂 don’t worry, I don’t plan to be one of those!! Don’t have time for that, anyway!! Got places to go, games to see, books to write…. 😀

  7. titans says:

Hey linkgaetz…how long you been a member here?

  8. linkgaetz says:

I’ve been lurking for a long time;better than a year or more I guess…I’m shy.

  9. big_booty says:

I highly doubt that a work on the “genius” work of Glen Sather in the past ten years would garner any sort of consideration by a publishing house.

Maybe you could collaborate with Bobby Holik on a book on how to improve your golf swing.

No? How about “How to Backcheck and Prevent Goals” by Micki Peroni and Tom Poti?

    I’ve got alot more….

  10. big_booty says:

Being shy around here won’t make you any friends. Take it from me and titans, you have to assert yourself.

Welcome to the party, finally. Please don’t take anything we say personally. We’re all crazy.

Hockey fistion is a very hard topic to write on, I dont read too much of it, but that is mostly because I cant find anything worth reading, and lack of time!

the Best hockey book Ive read was written by Peter Twist, a trainer for the Nucks. It is not fiction but still the best Ive read! the foreword was by Pavel Bure!

    I wish you luck pal!

  14. Overtime says:

I guess that since fighting has been bleached out of hockey, we can all buy your book and recall the good old days!!!

  15. Overtime says:

    You got that right!!!

    3) How to Win Without Whining by Wayne Gretzky and Gary Bettman

    4) Being Accountable by Pierre Lacroix

    5) Just Say No by Theo Fleury

    6) Why Can’t We Be Friends? by Mike Peca
