Nobody's really said much about it yet, but am I the only one that thinks Nashville got a STEAL for Denis Grebeshkov? He's a really talented defensemen, he's only 25 years old, and has tons of upside. What the hell is Steve Tambellini thinking when he traded him for a mid 2nd round pick? Seems like the Oilers are kind off taking two steps backwards, and probably not any forward in the near future … your not only trading one of your better defensemen, but your best young defensemen for what unless they score a huge steal in the draft will probably be an NHL player in 3 or 4 years. Doesn't make sense to me. He's been inconsistant this year and makes mistakes defensively sometimes, but he's a young player, and is going to be an awesome defensemen for the Predators.
Just look at the potential lineup 2 years from now:
Weber – Ellis
Grebeshkov – Suter
Franson – Blum
extras: Klein, Olivier-Roussel
That's not even considering what they'll acquire if they trade Hamhuis too.
