Kevin Paul Dupont
Bruin Phil Kessel, almost dealt to the Maple Leafs in June, soon could be fitted for a Toronto sweater.
The question is: Will the Leafs once again try to pry Kessel away via a trade, or will Toronto general manager Brian Burke opt instead to extend an offer sheet to the fourth-year right wing, who last season scored a career-high 36 goals?

Posting a Red Wings-related rumor, reservations included
George James Malik
I don’t like to tread in rumors and uncomfirmed reports, but the bandwidth this one will take up merits a mention with a few reservations. RANGERS BRING IN PROSPAL
LARRY BROOKS
As contract negotiations with Brandon Dubinsky have hit a speed bump, the Rangers have signed 34-year-old free agent forward Vinnie Prospal to a one-year, $1.1 million deal, The Post has learned.
