One of the big decisions that some teams still have to make is their coaching section. Last weeks firing of Dan Bylsma means that it is likely that he instantly becomes the front runner to coach in Vancouver, Carolina or Florida. Another possibility to coach in Florida is Ron Wilson, who interviewed for the position last week.
Speaking of the Vancouver Canucks, it has been indicated that new GM Jim Benning wants to bring in a scorer via trade or UFA. Some of the names that are set to become available and who fit the billing as a scorer include Vanek and Gaborik. If the Canucks are able to trade Kesler and a player such as Edler the Canucks could have a brand new second line. Although it has been recently reported that the Canucks want to hang on to Edler, it is well known that the Red Wings are very interested in him and he could fetch a high price in return.

Joe Haggerty of CSNNE.com reports that Players such as Brad Marchand ($4.5 million cap hit) and/or Johnny Boychuk ($3.66 million cap hit) could be moved.
