Just told Flames GM Jay Feaster sent an email to 29 GMs informing Anton Babchuk and Cory Sarich are available. Both have NTCs.

Bruins need help
Even before the Bruins lost two regulars — Chris Kelly (broken foot) and Adam McQuaid (shoulder injury) — for the rest of the regular season, they were looking for help.
NHL trade deadline primer: Western Conference
COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS: Since GM Scott Howson was fired, the Jackets have gone on a pretty good run. President John Davidson has said publicly nobody is off limits, but they’ve remained in the hunt. Names available include D Adrian Aucoin, C Derek Brassard and C Vinny Prospal.
DALLAS STARS: There is a lot of heat on GM Joe Nieuwendyk. He hasn’t made a good trade since he took over and any move he makes now is pivotal. Lots of teams are interested in C Derek Roy, RW Jaromir Jagr, C Ray Whitney and LW Brendan Morrow. Are the Stars ready to throw in the towel? Could be it for Nieuwendyk.
DETROIT RED WINGS: The Wings would have been upset to see Perry re-sign with the Ducks. They were prepared to make a big pitch in July. They have depth, but the Wings need to get a star. That’s not going to happen at this deadline because they aren’t just one player away from a Cup run.
EDMONTON OILERS: GM Steve Tambellini has a decision to make: Does he buy or sell? The Oilers have a shot at the playoffs, but can they stay there? None of the young players are available so no need for teams to ask. D Ryan Whitney is available and so is C Sam Gagner, who could fetch help.
The Penguins and Dallas Stars have a trade in place that would see veteran forward Brenden Morrow headed to Pittsburgh in exchange for a package that would include defenceman Joe Morrow, according to sources.
The deal, however, hinges on Brenden Morrow waiving his no trade clause.
Contrary to what many want to think or believe, I don’t see Marty St. Louis asking to be moved. He has two more years on his contract after this season, even if the Lightning are in the middle of a transitional phase for the franchise. And I have to believe he will retire as a member of the franchise he has been with for a decade and has a job in this organization for life should he want it.
Perhaps Ryan Malone would be somebody teams take a look at, but his left shoulder injury might prevent that from happening. Maybe veteran defenseman Sami Salo, who signed a two-year deal, but he was brought in for experience, something the blue line would be lacking next season if he was to be moved. Salo also has a modified no movement clause.
As the April 3 NHL trade deadline approaches, speculation continues to swirl around Calgary Flames captain Jarome Iginla.
The question isn’t whether perpetual bubble team Dallas will make rentals Jaromir Jagr (who leads the team in scoring), Brenden Morrow, Derek Roy and Eric Nystrom available, the question is whether the Stars will begin a meaningful overhaul by dangling Loui Eriksson?
Because if they do, the Rangers would be mighty interested.
GM Peter Chiarelli likes to get ahead of the pack, but that has proven difficult this year. The Bruins have cap room and Chiarelli wants to bring in an impact forward to help the power play. He’ll go after either Dallas winger Brenden Morrow or Calgary captain Jarome Iginla. It will be costly, though.
Toronto Maple Leafs: The Leafs are in the market for a center and possibly a defensemen. It’s possible they won’t have to add on defense if Jake Gardiner proves he can stick around this time and make a difference. But the Leafs definitely are thin at center and could use help there, especially if they want to get back to the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2004. One name being floated in Toronto is Mike Ribeiro, but it’s not clear what the Washington Capitals want to do with him. He is due to become an unrestricted free agent in July.
Two scouts told me tonight that Jaroslav Halak was on the block, so I asked Doug Armstrong. His answer: “He’s not going anywhere.”
