The waiting game continues for 88.

The Rangers have now sent Eric to a neurolagist in Montreal. It’s certainly starting to look like the Lindros to NY.may not happen.

Lindros Arrived at LaGuardia Airport

ESPN reported that Eric Lindros has arrived at LaGuardia airport. Lindros’ lawyer, Gordon Kirke, has told sources that the deal has come through, but Lindros would have to pass a physical, and will have to agree terms on a contract with the Rangers. Expect the deal to happen Friday.

Dunham Set to be Starter

Nashville Predators goalie, Mike Dunham, is having a pretty good week. Just a couple of days after signing a brand new contract with his NHL team, his country has named him to its’ Olympic squad as well. Being the first goalie inked to the 2002 team should make Dunham the leading candidate to be the starter in Salt Lake City.

Lindros Close to Become a Ranger

Many hockey sources have reported that the Rangers are close to trade for Eric Lindros. The Rangers players mentioned in the trade are Jan Hlavac, Pavel Brendl, and Kim Johnsson. The deal could happen tommorow, Wednesday, when GM Glen Sather should return from his vacation.

NOTE: I received many submitted articles on this topic, so I posted one with the main point. I’m very pleased with HTR members that are submitting immidiate news.

Sather: Smart or Cheap?

With many rich teams adding big name free agents this off-season, the Rangers ended up dumping a lot of salary and not signing and big name players.

Kuba, Jonsson, Langkow & McCauley Signed

Filip Kuba, 24 year old defenseman, re-signed a two year deal with the Wild worth 1.51$ million dollars.

Kenny Jonsson re-signed with the Isle’s, a two year contract.

Since the acquisition of Langkow from the Flyers, the Coyotes signed the 25 year old for a two year deal worth 4.2$ million dollars.

The 24 year old Alyn McCauley re-signed with the Leafs for a one year contract.

Chicago: Sunken pretty low

The Chicago Blackhawks never seem to improve. This off-season many felt Roenick would return, or Brett Hull would come, or even maybe some kind of major trade would happen.

Rangers have renewed interest in 88

Apparently, talks are heating up again between the Flyers, Rangers and Lindros Camp over the Boy Wonder than is Eric Lindros. As reported by an anonymous (what else is there?) source, Bobby Clarke and Glen Sather have been talking over what the price would be for the disgruntled center.

Jan Hrdina Awarded

Penguins signed Center Jan Hrdina for 2.25 million dollars over the next two seasons. Contract solved by arbitrator. Will he remain a Penguin or is he still a player to trade?

Trade Rumors

What is happening around the league? Will Brind’Amour stay and keep licking the candy Canes? Where could Allison possibly go? Holik displeased with the Devils. Which team will have the disease called Kaspiritis? What ever happened to Kenny Jonsson?
