Canucks Sign 2

The Vancouver Canucks announced Tuesday that they have Re-Signed Defenseman Lukas Krajicek to a 2-year deal worth 2.2 Million & Signed Goaltender Cory Schneider (their 2004 1st Round Pick) to an Entry Level Contract- terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Not this year, but next year is an option

The Canuck’s don’t have much Cap room. They have no serious needs (they need offensive, but unlike most team’s they’ll be okay with only a 2nd tier player to fix there need), and will only aquire some depth player’s, and one (maybe two, but unlikely) top 6 forward. When the season is over though, Naslund, Morrison, and Cooke all have expiring contract’s, which will give the Canuck’s some breathing room, and possible enough room to acquire a true superstar (if we don’t acquire someone that good, it’s okay too).

Canucks to go UFA shopping, Next Year

The Vancouver Province is reporting that it is highly unlikely that the Vancouver Canucks will land any big-name free agents this year. All bets are off for next year however as they will have cap space available to shop for some of the huge names that may be available.

The Sedins what will they bring to the table this year

One of Brian Burke’s genious draft day moves.. possibly the best move a GM has pulled off on draft day ever. these guys along with Roberto Luongo will make the Canucks contenders for years to come. This being all said they have never played with a player expected to do huge things… my question is Why.. they have proven to be guys who make other players that play with them better even in there earlier years with guys like

Canucks Aquire Ryan Shannon.

TSN has confirmed that the Canucks have acquired Ryan Shannon from the Anaheim ducks. In exchange the Canucks sent Jason king, with whom they could not get a deal done and has been playing in Sweden for the last season. Additionally, a conditional 2009 draft choice from the Canucks thrown in.

Naslunds season in review, is it still his team?

It was a solid, if unspectacular season for the Vancouver captain, but a surprisingly gritty playoff performance could signal a sign of changes to come.

Who will make the team?

We can pretty much guarentee the Canuck’s won’t make a huge splash on July 1st and the very biggest move that could be made will be a trade involving Schiender. So let’s see what these few moves could be, and see what’s left and who has a shot at the getting the final roster spots.

Go all in?

Somebody wrote an article a few days saying the Canuck’s should go for the Cup this year, but most of his trades weren’t very realistic, the players he got wouldn’t fit that well, and the team gave up too much of it’s future. So my version will be realistic, and won’t involving giving up tooo much future.

Canuck's RE-SIGN KESLER!

Three year contract, terms undisclosed.

Van obviously wants Kesler to be a part of the Core Group.

Canucks Season

Canucks came into the 2006-07 season with a lot of pressure. They were criticized of having no offense during pre-season and were predicted not to make the playoffs.

2007-2008 Nuck's

I just want to show people what the Canucks team could look like next year, and just writing some ideas.

Canucks roster NEXT YEAR?

With Vancouver already locking up the “core” for next season, I wonder what is in store for the rest of the players?

Canucks poised for a move?

After last nights game and the big splash by Calgary, Vancouver looks like they are poised for a big trade. It looked to me like an audition for the two call ups Reid and Moran and they did very well. This is bad news for Morrison however. He seems to be the odd man out and is the most likely trade bait. The Canucks need a d man and a center to play with Naslund, (Forsberg) and if the Canucks are serious it will take more than just Mo but this is what it would look like,
