They should have let him sit out and play in russia. What a baby,…how many millions does someone need to pay you to PLAY HOCKEY???

On a side note i've got a pool question,…..Andy McDonald or Forsberg????? I just keep thinking Forsberg's gonna get injured at some point and miss 20 games. Any suggestions??????

Hey should have just said what we all know he wanted to… Im very happy to be a rich man and could really care less whether i was on Columbus or playing for the Iraq National Team … as long as i got my contract id play for basically wherever.  This dude is only playing for the next contract… not the kinda guy you want on your team especially when he didnt even get 70 points in his career yet. … ( ps. i know hes russian so dont comment like hes not from Iraq… it was a joke to say that he would play anywhere and i know some dumbasses on here that would say that  haha)

    Nikolai, you small-fry,
before you earn more money you need to make a splash.

    Nikolai, I am sick-of-lies,
because we know you only care about the cash.

    Nikolai, you tricky-guy,
you get a raise and you're back quicker than the Flash?

    Nikolai, go stick your dick-in-pie,
like the movie where they get laid before the grad bash.

Forsberg. He'll out produce McDonald only playing 60 games.

McDonald has got to come back to earth a bit after last season. Don't expect him to repeat.

Keep in mind that McDonald's hand is still ailing from last season. He has looked very good in the preseason though. Personally I would make the trade even though Forsberg is one of my favorite players. Forsberg is just to injury prone to be on one of my fantasy teams.

he was getting 1.5 mil tax free, it only makes sense Columbus offers more money after tax's

the entire basis of UFA is guys leaving there teams for more money, kinda like scott niedermayer did. He didnt leave for Russia, but he did leave for more money, as did chara, savard, dumont, kubina, legace, demitra, sykora, samsonov, Even the Gretzky trade was because of money and mark messier bolted on Edmonton for the big NYR dollars.

Forsberg, hands down, he'll get more poits in fewer games then mcdonald, plus mcdonald stats were inflated last year as he played with selanee, who will not reach last years totals again, and Anaheim is gonna be a more defense-oriented team this year.

And like Yashin before him now comes the very dissappointing season, fights with his teammates, a toxic locker room, and fruitless attempts at trading him next summer.  Naturally Zherdev will become the most loathed player in Columbus.
