No Good bye for Koivu

So alot of people are saying the Canadiens should trade Koivu this year or next cause he’s not what we need. Well check this out.
After the habs lost in the conference semi final in 1998- 1999 we went threw some hard years missing the playoffs 4 years in a row.In 2001-2002 koivu came to camp not feeling good and shortly discovered that he had cancer. But within the small frame of Koivu holds the heart of a giant , and he was determined to come back to play the same year. April 9th 2002 was a magical night not only an emotional return for Saku but also a 4-3 win over the Senators and a berth in the playoffs for the first time in 4 years. Montreal would beat the first placed Bruins but fall to Carolina. The next year missed the playoffs for the 4 time in five years but now it started to get interesting. 2003-2004 came and the Habs were in the playoff dance again and came back from a 3-1 series deficet to beat the Bruins again, they would then face the lighting but loose in a series that was lop sided. The next year we got the Hurricanes in the first round and Les boys had them on there toes taking the first two games, but after loosing Koivu to a devastating eye injury everything went down hill and the hurricanes took the series. And well last year we all know what happened. Now it was long but finally i get to this year and the years coming. In Montreal Koivu is an icon and if he goes the heart is gone. Were in a great position this year and are heading to the playoffs i say change nothing this year resign Captain K to a 3 year extension and let him bring the team to Glory with the help of Vinny Lecavalier that is coming in the summer of 09-10. It wont be long now that Le Bleu Blanc et Rouge drink from the cup again. GO HABS GO

kinda made it a story i got carried away :p
